Can you really save 8 hours a week with AI?
Hi y’all,
I recently read an interesting e-book from EventCombo on event tech trends for 2025. It spent a lot of time talking about the ways AI will shape the future of events…but it didn’t touch on how AI can simplify your daily work as a business owner.
So today I wanted to give you some practical tips based on my conversations with dozens of Goodshuffle Pro users.
While there are thousands of AI tools out there, I find that a conversational intelligence tool like ChatGPT does the job for most event pros. Here are some of the ways I see folks using it:
- Composing communications
Get help refining raw thoughts into polished, professional communication.
Example prompt: “I’m upset that a client violated our cancellation policy. Below is how I’d like to respond. Can you rewrite this to sound professional yet firm? {insert raw response}”
- Conducting industry research
Keep a pulse on what’s happening in your industry to stay competitive.
Example prompt:“Can you find competitors offering similar services and summarize their unique selling points?”
- Streamlining operations
Audit and improve internal policies like employee handbooks or SOPs.
Example prompt:“Can you suggest updates for our employee handbook to improve onboarding for new hires?”
- Performing business analyses
Upload files to analyze sales or inventory data.
Example prompt: “Can you help me analyze my revenue data to identify my most profitable rental items?”
- Brainstorming marketing tactics
Combine your expertise with AI to market your business more effectively.
Example prompt: “Help me brainstorm ways to attract long-term clients during the slow season and create a 30-day marketing plan.”
AI tools like ChatGPT are here to help. After all, you’re the expert here! AI is just a tool you can use to save time and run your business more efficiently.
But it should be used with caution, too. Make sure you always fact check AI-generated content and protect private client data. Customer trust is more important than ever these days. 🤝
See you the first Tuesday in January,
