At Goodshuffle, our top priority is to keep your business running smoothly. Part of that is giving you the flexibility to identify and address any booking conflicts.

Our Conflict Detection feature flags conflicts from signed projects that are officially overbooked. And now, with Potential Conflict Detection, our system will also flag any potential conflicts based on your unsigned quotes.

To sum it up quickly:

  • Potential Conflict Detection flags any conflicts that could potentially occur from quotes that have been sent but not yet signed.
  • It’s a warning to let you know that you’re not overbooked yet, but you could be if a project is signed.

Why Do Potential Conflicts Occur?

It’s important to note that a Potential Conflict is not yet an actual Conflict. However, it could become a Conflict if one or more quotes gets signed by a client.

We created Potential Conflicts so you can better anticipate any actual Conflicts before they become an issue. Goodshuffle Pro flags Potential Conflicts if:

  • You’re adding a product or service that exceeds your available inventory.
  • Part of the inventory is Set Aside due to damage, reducing stock for this project.
  • The quantity you’re trying to use is already reserved for another event at the same time.

You can either choose to take action while it’s still a Potential Conflict or wait until it becomes an actual Conflict.

How Can You Solve a Potential Conflict?

You can filter your Project list to find Potential Conflicts by selecting the Potential Conflict Icon under Filters. You can learn more about filtering Potential Conflicts here.

You then have two options to solve a potential conflict: Subrenting or purchasing additional inventory.
