The Best-Kept Secret for Creating a Rockstar Events Team

It’s no secret that contractors and temporary employees are a vital part of event companies. From DJs to card dealers to party clowns, these events team members are essential for getting a great party off the ground and should be included in certain aspects of the planning process…but probably not all the ins and outs of your company.

If you rely on contractors but you don’t want them to have access to your finances, to have the ability to create new projects, or to edit your inventory, then Goodshuffle Pro’s Unlimited Read-Only feature is the missing piece for your business. The Read-Only level of access is designed specifically for your contractors (DJs, card dealers, bartenders, etc.); it gives them the information they need on the event, while keeping more sensitive business information confidential.

Let’s take a closer look.

Flat Rate Fee

First and foremost, an Unlimited Read-Only feature costs you just $99 per month, billed annually. You control who is invited and can add and remove users as you see fit. And yes, it really is unlimited!

Limited Access

While your contractors are an incredibly valuable part of your events team, you don’t necessarily want them to be able to edit your items, create new contracts, or view your financial information. Read-Only access only allows your contractors to access specific, limited information, so your sensitive data is kept secure.

Your Read-Only users will have access to:

  • Unread conversations and tasks. This means that you’ll be able to send messages and assign tasks to your contractors as you would with any of your Goodshuffle Pro users to help keep them in the loop.
  • Project access. Your Read-Only users will be able to access a Project only if they are invited to that specific project. They will be able to view the fulfillment tab, Project files, print fulfillment related documents, and access the team chat for that Project. They will not have access to contracts, billing, logs, or have the ability to make any changes to the Project.

Pro Tip: Do you have a contractor you work with regularly? Don’t worry about removing them from your Read-Only users after a Project is complete; they only have access to Projects they have been assigned to, and won’t have access to anything else if they aren’t tied to an active Project.

Room to Grow

The Unlimited Read-Only user plan is designed to grow with your team.

For example, you may only have 5 regular contractors today, but also have a huge casino event coming up that requires extra dealers, caterers, bartenders and DJs who will be working with you as a one-off gig. You’ll be able to quickly add these temporary contractors for the event, then remove them once it’s complete.

Or, say that your business is steadily growing. You had 10 contractors you regularly worked with this year, but plan on taking on more catered events next year and need to step up your game. This means more waitstaff, hosts, coordinators, maybe a few MCs…and you also have to keep them all organized. Don’t stress; you can handle organization right within Goodshuffle Pro and assign contractors right to their Projects. They’ll be able to access the necessary event details on their own, ensuring that they all get the information they need and none of the information they don’t— and all for the same price.

If you find a rockstar contractor that you’d like to assign more responsibilities, it’s also easy to upgrade them to a Limited or Full user. While Limited and Full User access does carry an additional fee, the upgrade itself is simple and instant!

Goodshuffle Pro strives to make running your event company easy, from managing your inventory to team members. Including your temporary and contract team members in the event planning process helps keep things running smoothly and ensures nothing gets forgotten in the process. Keep your company— and contractors— on track and moving forward with our Unlimited Read-Only User plan.
